Founded by Vaughn Marshall in 2023, Vaughn's Dog Wash is focused on your dog's well being

At Vaughn's Dog Wash, we don't do fancy! If you are after a fancy Dog Show teddy bear cut, I'm not your groomer. However, I will do my very best to have your doggy trimmed and groomed as close to your requests as we possibly can. If your furry friend has matting, I will do my very best to get them out, however, this is not always possible and therefore, I will need to trim to get underneath them. Sometimes this means a shorter cut.

Hi, I'm Vaughn!

I love dogs and I really enjoy working with them, from the little dogs to large dogs . One thing I try to do is keep your doggy relaxed throughout the grooming process. If I feel any dog is getting stressed, I will stop what I'm doing, hold the dog's head in my hands and looking it in the eyes, reassure him or her, that everything is alright. After a few pats, I find they are relaxed enough for me to continue.

WASH & DRY

A wash with puppy-safe shampoo (or other suitable shampoo), blow dry, and cologne for a fresh-smelling pup.

Hygiene trim, paw-pad care (fur is trimmed from between the paw-pads), nail trimming, ear cleaning, washing, drying, and cologne.

Complete body clip using various blades and combs to your liking, hygiene trim, paw-pad care, nail trimming, washing, drying, and cologne.

Our De-Shed Treatment is specially designed for double-coated dogs to effectively remove loose fur and undercoat. The process includes extensive brushing, a dedicated de-shed shampoo wash to loosen excess fur, and high-velocity drying to blow out even more fur. We finish with another round of brushing and a spritz of doggy cologne, leaving your furry friend refreshed and your home fur-free!

  • Various Medicated Shampoos, including: Aloveen Oatmeal Shampoo; Malaseb Medicated; Pyohex Medicated; PAW: Nutriderm; & PAW: Mediderm Shampoos
  • Whitening shampoo (to help brighten your white pooch)
  • Specially formulated Oodle Shampoo to help keep your Cavoodle (or Labradoodle, Groodle etc) looking fluffy and curly.
  • Doggie Conditioner

FAQs

How Long Does a Grooming Session Take?

It is difficult to give an exact time frame, as each dog is different.

A basic wash and dry generally takes around an hour.

A Full Groom or De-shed will take between 1.5 hrs and 2 hrs depending on the dog.

Yes.

We have found that anxious dogs is notall that uncommon. If a dog is getting stressed, the groomer will stop, gently hold the dog’s head and looking it in the eyes, comforts the dog and allows him/her to settle. Then we will continue the grooming process.

 

However, there are times where a dog may need some calming medication prior to a groom – if you are unsure about your dog’s anxiety, consult your vet.

We use some of the best brands of Dog Shampoos and Conditioners. These are of a professional standard and are safe for all dog types, including a range of medicated shampoos.

Very rarely will a dog have an allergic reaction to a product. Should this happen, we stop using it immediately.
